It is located in the Luján de Cuyo region, carril Ardoz (off route 60). This old winery belonged to the family of Gladys Alurralde Norton, who was the mother of Federico J. Benegas Lynch. Agustín Alvarez, Governor of the Province of Mendoza in those years, finished the construction in 1901. It is one of the few historic relics that remain from the old Mendoza of the end of the 19th century. It was made of adobe with a stone underground cave to stow casks and it has spacious areas to store bottles both in summer and in winter, for temperature variations are minimal.

Benegas Malbec 2007

Benegas presents a Malbec that captures the uniqueness of this grape variety typical from Argentina. This wine is the best reflection of the exceptional climate and soil conditions of the province of Mendoza in Argentina and of a careful elaboration process carried out in the winery. Attractive red color with violet reflections that will tend to intensify as years go by. Complex aromas of cherries and mature blackberries. Presents a very good structure and it is persistent in the mouth. Sweet tannins, with no drying effect.
