Familia Mayol

http://www.familiamayol.com

The Mayol family has three estate vineyards (all at between 3100 to 4000 feet above sea level), two in the Uco Valley Region, Vista Flores and the other at the winery just outside of Tupungato. The third is an 80 year old vineyard in Lujan de Cuyo. The family has been linked to wines for a long time. Pedro Juan Mayol, a Spanish immigrant to Argentina, was a grape grower in the early nineteen hundreds and today his family carries on the tradition. They believe in showing the character of each of their unique vineyards by producing Single-Vineyard wines in limited quantity. They recently began to work with Steve Clifton of Brewer-Clifton fame from Santa Barbara, California.
